Project for modernization of the education
 Quality teaching through trainingsIn the school year 2006/2007, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation implemented six training courses at six primary schools in Macedonia. The goal of the training courses was to contribute towards promoting the quality of teaching and increasing the participation in the target schools of the project. The topics that were selected by the schools were: project management, training for communication skills, participative approach towards studying and school management. |  |
WO Sveti Nikole
By learning computers, they learn about the InternetSince February this year, the women organization from Sveti Nikole has organized computer courses for young people, including unemployed people from the municipality. 112 people of different gender and nationality aged 18 to 30 participate in the courses. | |
“The key is in our hands” campaign
Romas start school, but do not finish itThis year, 1,539 first grade Roma pupils started school in 11 towns in Macedonia, which is almost twice as many as in the last year – 913. However, the Romas are still facing financial lack of financial power to send their children to school. | |
Macedonian Ecologist Movement
“Ceples 2007” educational campThe summer educational camp “Ceples 2007” took place from 13-21 August 2007 in Veles. It was organized by the Macedonian Ecologist’s Movement, the Municipality of Caska and the mountaineering association “Solunska Glava”. Participants at the camp were high school students from different towns in Macedonia, young ecologists, members of local environmental organizations in their towns. There were 20 young participants from Radovis, Makedonski Brod, Veles, Caska, Jabolciste, Bitola, Prilep, Struga and Probustip; the camp had both working and educational component. | |

“Proaktiva” opened the Energetic Efficiency CenterThe civil society association “Proaktiva” has opened the first Macedonian Center for Energetic Efficiency. At the Center, the citizens can get free information and advice in the field of energetic efficiency, the renewable sources of energy and the climate changes. Centers of this kind exist in most European cities and the public interest for them is constantly increasing due to the rising threats that result from the climate changes. | |

Climate rehabilitation dedicated to the global warmingThe parents association for healthy offspring from Veles dedicated this year’s Summer Climate Rehabilitation to the national and the world activities against the global warming of the planet Earth, putting special emphasis on the water as the most precious natural resource.
