OSCE- Blossom Run
Running manifestation for peaceOrganized by OSCE and under the patronage of the Macedonian President Mr. Boris Trajkovski, on 18 May this year, the traditional 42-kilometre "Blossom Run" Tetovo-Skopje took place. This manifestation took place for the first time in 1995 and this year it was held for the seventh time in a traditional sport and humanitarian spirit. As OSCE spokesperson, Mr. Wolfgang Greven said, the race is one big peaceful demonstration and a proof that it is possible that people from different nationalities work and have fun together.

Eco-mission
Protection and revitalization of VodnoOn 15 May this year, the ecological association "Eco-mission" organized a round table on Protection and revitalization of Vodno. It was said that it was necessary to redefine the resolution for proclaiming the Vodno Mountain a park-forest, which is quite dated (it was adopted in 1976). The preparation of the Local Environmental Action Plan (LEAP) for Skopje is in progress, within which is the protection and revitalization of Vodno.

European Day
Macedonian and European flag on the Vodno topThe ambassador Donato Chiarini, head of the European Commission Delegation in Macedonia, delivered the EU flag to the representatives from the association "European Movement in RM" and the mountaineering association "Korab", who took it, together with the Macedonian flag on the mountain Vodno.

Expo Preda 2003
Participation of 42 associationsA great number of citizens could visit The Second Fair of Small Businesses "Preda Expo 2003", which took place on 9 and 10 May this year in Prilep. About 42 civic associations participated at the Fair. In charge of the organization were 3 associations from Prilep: FAK, FENIX and Vis Viva, in coordination with the NGO Support Center from Prilep. There was an exhibition part for the participating organizations, which a Forum on "Establishing Coalitions", supported by the MCIC and OSIMF.

In Krushevo
National Day of the Vlachs celebratedThe Vlachs League from Macedonia, together with the Vlach association "Nikola Bacarija", has organized a Solemn Academy in Krushevo to mark the National Day of the Vlachs - 23 May. The guests. among which Vlachs and their friends from all over Macedonia, as well as political parties and NGO representatives, could see an interesting and rich cultural programme. Delegation of Vlach associations from Macedonia laid flowers on Pitu Guli and Nikola Karev's monuments and on Meckin Kamen. On the occasion of the National Day of the Vlachs, an exhibition called "From old Vlach chambers" took place. Vlach representatives had a meeting with the Prime Minister Branko Crvenkovski and the speaker Nikola Popovski.

Miss Deaf and Hearing Impaired Beauty ContestLast month, the Macedonian Association of Deaf and Hearing Impaired organized the Miss Deaf and Hearing Impaired Beauty Contest for the second time. In order to increase the trust and faith among its members, this association is trying to make this beauty contest traditional.
