Four years existence
On 19 September this year, the Euro-Balkan Institute marked its four-year anniversary. The celebration that took place in Skopje, had a working dimension as well - the Resource Centre for Security and Democracy was opened, and its manager, D-r Biljana Vankovska made the opening speech.
Guests at the celebration were greeted by Mr. Zivko Gruevski, president of the Euro-Balkan Managerial Board and Mr. Habib Masud, Chief of the Canadian Embassy in Macedonia.
In the four years since its establishment, Euro-Balkan have profiled as a serious "think tank and research organization. As a non-governmental and non-profitable organization, the Institute has given a specific contribution to the promotion of the trans-Atlantic cooperation and the promotion of the European Union ideas in our country and wider in the region. Euro-Balkan was implementing its mission through activities directed towards exchange of ideas, development and prosperity of the Republic of Macedonia, regional integration and promotion of the civil society. We can mention in that respect the publishing of the magazine "Identities", the Ohrid Summer University, many organized forums dedicated to political, economic, gender and other issues, publishing and several other projects.
