Civil Office for the NGOs and the Macedonian Parliament

A place for meeting of two important social factors

The Civil Office for Parliament of the Republc of Macedonia and the civil society organizations has recently been opened in the centre of Skopje. Its goal is to institutionalize the cooperation between the Parliament and the civil society organizations, to provide information relevant for the both parties and necessary for the an open and intensive dialogue through the use of various means of communication, as well as to relate the citizens and the legislation bodies in the direction of involving the civic sector more in the decision making processes.

Organized as a service for the MPs and the civil society organizations, the Office offers the MPs a chance to get more information from the CSOs in the everyday preparations of their activities, with special emphasis on the legal solutions. The civil society organizations on their part can get all necessary materials on the Parliament's work and submit their own suggestions, and the Office can also serve as a place for organizing meetings between the MPs and the civil society organizations. The office has its own library where each citizen can find the laws passed at the Parliament, the laws of the neighbouring countries and the EU countries, as well as other useful materials. The office also has its own web site: www.kancelarija.org.mk  where all the library materials and the everyday information regarding the Parliament’s work are placed. There is an opportunity for "on-line" contact, where the civic sector would submit the proposals for changes and amendments of the laws. The office is technically equipped to provide a fast flow of information. You can contact it at 3215-513, 3215-514, 3215-519 or get additional information on www.civiloffice.org.mkwww.pravo.org.mk
