Galicnik Wedding 2006

The 43rd “Yes” in the “Ss. Peter and Paul” Church
 

The 43rd edition of the Galicnik Wedding took place on 15 and 16 July, when Irena Kitanovska and Tomislav Lazarov from Skopje were the bride and the groom, and according to the traditional Galicnik customs exchanged their wedding vows at the wedding ceremony in the “Ss Peter and Paul” Church. This year’s groom originates from Galicnik. For many years he has participated at Galicnik weddings and is familiar with the customs and traditions. He says that for him, it was only natural to get married in the spirit of the Mijak’s tradition.

This year, the same as every year, the Galicnik Wedding followed after a number of previous cultural events, such as the concert of Dragan Dautovski and his quartet and the masters of drums and zurla – Majovci. Their performance held the folk songs and dances ensembles “Koco Racin” and “Mirce Acev”.
