IGMAN INITIATIVE ESTABLISHED EXPERTS' GROUP ON RECONCILIATION

The Igman Initiative, organization that gathers under its auspices over 100 NGOs from SCG, Croatia and BiH, established an experts' group with the goal to prepare a model of reconciliation between the three states.

Aleksandar Popov, Member of the Experts' Group, said that the existing reconciliation models, like the one used in South Africa or the Franco-German model, can’t be used in former Yugoslavia. He said that the preparation of the reconciliation model is "a long term job" and added, more specifically, that the consultant of the NGO experts' team shall be Alex Borein, the man who worked on the South African model.
The Croatian side is represented by Zoran Pusic and Vesna Terselic from the NGO sector, together with Tomislav Jakic, who until recently was a counselor to the President of Croatia Mesic. BiH will be represented by Vehid Sehic from Tuzla, Miodrag Zivanovic from Banja Luka, and Slavo Kukic from Mostar, all of them long-time NGO activists.
