"Live Heritage" Programme

A forum on cultural tourism

On 7 October 2004 in Skopje, the Foundation Open Society Institute - Macedonia organized the forum "Experiences and challenges for the development of the cultural tourism in the Republic of Macedonia". The forum is part of the activities of the "Live Heritage" programme which works for the development of the small communities through the resources in the field of culture, and is implemented by the Open Society Institute - Macedonia and the King Boduen Foundation.

The Forum was opened by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia, Stevce Jakimovski. Its goal is to enable exchange of experiences and information on the projects that are being implemented in this field in our country. Experiences from the projects "Live Heritage" and the project "Development of the municipalities and culture of the Ministry of Culture of RM, the World Bank and the Cluster for Tourism supported by the USAID were presented.
