The White and The Black Eco-lists for 2003 announced

The polluters did not come for the prizes again

The environmental press-centre announced their traditional awards for the last year, The White and The Black Eco-lists of the selected civic organizations, companies, institutions and individuals who contributed to the protection of the environment in the country, but also the list of those who took part in its destruction. Traditionally, the polluters did not take part at the award ceremony, and the awards from The White List were given to: "Pronatura" - Swiss Agency for protection of nature, the Ministry for Environment and Spatial Planning, the Journalist - Legal Enviro Centre ERINA, Pharmahem and the Macedonian Environmental Association and City Bike. The individual award went to the former Mayor of the municipality Karpos, Stevce Jakimovski, and the media award to the Macedonian Radio for the programme "Eco-rhythm" whose editor is the journalist Daniela Kanavce. The Black List contained: Lead and Zinc mine "Sasa", the Ministry of Transport and Relations and the Roads Fund, the municipality Gostivar, JSC Nemetali "Ograzden" from Strumica and the Pigs Farm from Kumanovo.
