A novelty at SOZM

A center for cooperation between the Chinese and the Macedonian women

The Union of Macedonian Women Organizations (SOZM), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of China, opened the Centre for Cooperation between the Chinese and the Macedonian Women, which will offer women of both countries support and training for economic development. The Chinese Women Federation has provided technical equipment for that purpose, for supporting the project activities. The opening of the center corresponds to one of the priorities of the Program for Economic Strengthening of Women – a continuous education of women, with special emphasis on the formal and informal education as the biggest investment, they ay at SOZM.

The mission of the Center is to approach the unemployed women in an effective way to the labor market, and its goal is to support the unemployed women in their attempts to develop their skills and complete their knowledge by learning a foreign language, computer program and making a business-plan. They plan to organize more activities, training courses, consultations and support to women who want to start their own businesses, to act as mediators when employing educated women and to guarantee their work quality, business, protect women in their workplace etc.
