Donation by Cosmofon

Gostivar got a children’s amusement park

Gostivar got a children’s amusement park with an area of 800 square meters, a donation by Cosmofon. Combined equipment for pre-school and school children have been placed in it and this is the first place for fun for the youngest citizens of the town.

Its location is in the City Park and it has been provided by the municipality of Gostivar. The mayor, Nevzat Bejta, at the opening ceremony of the playground thanked Cosmofon for the donation. He pointed out that the children’s playground is only a part of the cooperation between the local self-government and the company.

The playground, which became one of the favorite places for the youngest people of Gostivar, has a great range of recreational equipment for development of physical coordination, strength and flexibility of children, as well as for recreation and fun. It has special corners for the youngest pre-school children and for older children up to the age of 14.

The Cosmofon representatives, during the opening ceremony of the playground, pointed out that the financial amount of the donation was not important, but its social usefulness and the dedication of the company to work in the best interest and for the citizens’ good. This time, the main users are the children of Gostivar and its surroundings and they received a modern, fully equipped and safe place for playing.

“With this donation Cosmofon again confirms its social responsibility, as a company that constantly participates in different areas which are meaningful to the community”, said Emilija Trajkovic-Hristova, responsible for public relations in Cosmofon, at the same time pointing out that that was the first donation of that kind and that soon the company would donate similar projects to other cities in Macedonia.

Soon, according to Hristova, a similar playground will be opened in the Skopje municipality of Gazi Baba, and in future in some other towns in Macedonia. She announced that in September Cosmofon would donate the most necessary medical supplies to the Clinic for gynecology, aimed at prematurely born babies. The medication and equipment are worth around 30,000 Euros.

In October, in cooperation with the Red Cross, the first Shelter Center for the Homeless will be opened in Skopje, where these people will be offered food, medications and medical assistance, a place for bathing and washing their clothes, but not a place to spend the night.
