6 March: Humanitarian review of “Humana”
The informal lobby-group “Humana” and the National Macedonian Women Council organize a humanitarian review of costumes that belong to the opera singer Milka Eftimova. The event is going to be followed with a cultural – entertaining programme. It is going to take place on 6 March 2007 at the Universal Hall in Skopje, starting at 8 p.m. The money raised is intended for renovating the ruined parts of the psychiatric hospital in Negorci.
8 March: International Women Day
Although, usually, this day is celebrated as mother’s day, it is dedicated t all women. In fact, it is a day when we should emphasize the women’s role in the society as equal partners to the man.
21 March: Days of spring and the environment
The first day of the spring traditionally marks the week that people in Macedonia dedicate to the environment.
22 March: The water is a source of life
This is the world day dedicated to the water – the resource without which there would be no life on the planet. The water is becoming rarer, especially the water we can use for drinking.
27 March: Theatre Day
This day is dedicated to one of the artistic areas which have a mass acceptance – the theatre.
30 March: Regional NGO Fair
The Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia and the NGO Support Centre – Debar, on behalf of the Macedonian Civic Platform Members, organize a regional NGO Fair in Debar that will take place on 30 and 31 March 2007 at the Cultural Centre in Debar. Civil societies from Macedonia and the neighboring countries can take part in the Fair. It consists of three components: forum activities, exhibition part and socio-cultural events.
