Serbian NGO Federation (FENS) has been founded

At the constitutive meeting called “United citizens”, which took place in Belgrade, from 14 to 16 February this year, representatives of 229 NGO, which cover 102 municipalities in Serbia with their programs, founded the Serbian NGO Federation (FENS). After a year of activities directed towards collecting as greater number of NGOs as possible, the initiative managed to complete the first phase.

Primary objective of the Federation will be to increase the pressure on the creators of politics in Serbia. First initiative will be submitting a requirement to the President of the Parliament of Serbia, to start a procedure for adopting a new Law for NGO. The Federation should also help small organizations through lobbying and recognizing their role in the society.
