International foundation Boris Trajkovski
The international foundation Boris Trajkovski was established in the spring of 2004 in order to continue the legacy of the late president of the Republic of Macedonia, Boris Trajkovski. Its mission in Macedonia and wider is to promote "four basic principles: peace and reconciliation, quality education, principles of free market economy, civil society and good gover nance".
According to its extent and mission, the Foundation acts on local, regional and international level, reflecting the dynamic character of Boris Trajkovski, as well as his broad vision. The main goals and tasks of the Foundation include: promotion of peace, reconciliation and understanding; promotion of a high quality educational system for the Macedonian children and young people and their better preparedness to carry forward the future of their country; helping the whole population in Macedonia, especially the vulnerable groups by promoting the principles of free market economy and work for decent life and progress for everybody; promotion of the civil society and good governance through increasing the openness, the transparency, honesty and encouraging and support of the civic sector.
The activities of the Foundation cover: "Dialogue among civilizations" in cooperation with UNESCO, publishing books and providing scholarships. A significant place is given to the implementation of the project for enabling the access to benefits from the information and communication technologies (ICT) "E-Macedonia for everybody" and the implementation of the "E-Declaration" that the Parliament adopted in July 2002.
