A seminar on EU and the environment

The Journalist-Legal Enviro Centre Erina from Skopje, in cooperation with the European Environment Bureau (EEB) from Brussels and the Dutch organization Milieukontakt Oost - Europa organized a two-day training seminar on 21 and 22 June on "The legal and institutional EU framework on the environment". Besides the representatives from the Macedonian civic organizations and Local Government Units - LGU, the seminar was also attended by the civic sector representatives from Albania. The business sector, that is representatives from the Skopje Brewery, took place in the seminar as well, thus showing for the first time the business sector's interest for this type of seminars. Lecturers were Mara Silina from EEB, Belgium, Erika Oblak from Umanoterra, Slovenia and Paul Kosterink from Lilieukontakt, Holland.

The next day, the European Commission Delegation in Macedonia, ERINA and the European Movement organized another lecture with the same lecturers for the broader public at the "Holiday Inn" Hotel in Skopje.
