Tribune in Debar
“Consumers through legal labyrinths” in Debar
The Macedonian Consumers’ Organization in cooperation with the local self-government in Debar, in the premises of the Center for Support of Non-governmental organizations has held a tribune on subject “Consumers through legal labyrinths”. In relation to the Law on consumers and their rights, explanations were given by Tatjana Tasevska and Epaminonda Glavinac.
Representatives of the local government, civil society organizations and other interested took part at the tribune. The mayor of Debar, Argetim Fida addressed the topic, especially about the conditions in the municipality,.
With the process of decentralization a lot of authorities are transferred on a local level. The need was emphasized for forming a consumers’ council, in which, apart from counselors from the municipality council, representatives of the civic sector and public sector, the business sector and other professional associations should take part.
A special interest within the present was generated by the presented most frequent problems the consumers face, as well as the possibilities and ways of their solution.
