An action of the association “Idnina”

Clothes and furniture for the children without parents

The association of children without parents from the Macedonian orphanages “Idnina” started a big humanitarian campaign in the beginning of November to provide help for major children who are to leave the orphanages after they turn 18. The goal of the action was providing bed sheets, blankets, winter clothes, kitchen appliances and other types of small furniture for the children who will leave the orphanages and the home-families and will find themselves in the crossroads of life with 30 000 denars that their country provides for them. Most of the children are unemployed and unable to provide the basic household goods.

The action is also designed to provide help for the children without parents who live in rented places and live their lives on the string. “T-Mobile” took part in the action on 3 November when it activated the number 070/143-123, which is going to stay active until 25 December. By dialing this number, the citizens donate 100 denars. Ilija Jovanovikj, president of the association sent an appeal to all citizens who have clothes for children aged 3 to 26 to donate in this action. Kindergartens, primary schools and high schools can join the action. The association also calls for the diplomatic offices to take part. The help will be divided between 120 children who are living in rented places at the moment and to 20 major youths who are going to leave the orphanages and the home-families soon. The items collected are going to be distributed with vehicles provided by the Government, the ARMY and “Skopski Pazar”. A similar action took place last year involving the high school students from “Nova”.
