“MOST” conference in Struga
The rulebook on elections should change
The civil society association “MOST”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Macedonia and OSCE monitoring mission in Skopje held a three-day conference this summer in Struga, dedicated to improving the election process and overcoming the irregularities that occur at elections.
MIA and UNDP campaign
Bullets don’t make a difference
UNDP and MIA have promoted a project for raising the public awareness on the risk of shooting guns at celebrations. “Stop the shooting! Bullets don’t make a difference” is the working title of the campaign against weapons, which started with promotional videos, fliers and posters.
A new forum established in Bitola
Thirty civil society organizations united
A new Civil Society Organizations Forum was established in Bitola on 9 July this year. It consists of thirty civil society organizations from the municipality and is the first and the only body established in the municipality on the initiative of the civil society organizations “Bitola”, the women association “Prestige” and the ecologists’ movement “Molika.
The Macedonian Journalists’ Association promotes a free phone line
The immoral journalists will be reported
At the debate on preventing the corruption among the journalists that took place in Ohrid in the month of July, the Macedonian Journalist’ Association promoted the free telephone line 0800 54321 on which citizens can report the journalists’ immoral behavior.
“Brima Galup” research
The Red Cross – the most recognizable organization
The Macedonian Red Cross presented the results of the questionnaire carried out by the “Brima Gallup” agency to find out what the public thinks of the organization. The research was carried out in November last year and it covered 1 000 people, 44% of which said that according to the rating it has, the Macedonian Red Cross tops the list of other organizations dealing with humanitarian activities.
