Association for research and education in the field of ethics

“Ethics Centre” is a non-governmental organization for research and education in the field of ethics, established in April 204 by the PhD Kiril Temkov as its president, PhD Stojan Przovski, PhD Olga Pesevska – Zarevska, Ivanco Atanasovski, Jovan Lozanovski and Dejan Donev as a secretary. Members of the Centre are people who carry out researches in the field of ethics and teach ethics, but at the same time, a member can become any citizen of the Republic of Macedonia who accepts the goals and the Statute of the center.

By establishing the Ethics Centre we tend to fulfill the lack of scientific and cultural activities in the field of ethics that are necessary in the modern era. The goal of the Ethics Centre is to spread and promote the ethic culture, the ethic research and the ethic education in the Republic of Macedonia, enrich the communication with an amount of ethics, cooperate with the centers for ethics at UNESCO and other international ethic organizations in the process of spreading the ethic culture, promote the ethic awareness of the citizens, especially the young people, as well as to promote the professional ethics and both, the idea and the practice of deontology in all areas. In that context, the Centre acts in a direction of spreading the ethic notions, offers information on the scientific and the social tendencies in the field of ethics, encourages and organizes scientific meetings and other forms of ethic research, publishes books on ethics, helps in the creation and spreading of values of the universal ethics, researches the bioethics and its close forms – the environmental ethics, the ethics of addictions, researches the ethics of sciences (the last three tasks given by UNESCO), prepares audio and video materials for spreading the ethic culture and the ethic education, raises initiatives for ethic campaigns, and it also organizes various forms of ethic education of young people, public lectures, seminars and other forms of public communication for spreading the ethic culture and the ethic education.

At the same time, we are open for any kind of cooperation and information in the field of ethics. The Centre is located at the ethics cabinet in the building of the Faculty of Philosophy.
