With Milka chocolates to computers
The sweet pleasure has provided donation for 70 schools
This spring, the producer of Milka chocolates, Krafts Food, in cooperation with the official importer and dealer in the Republic of Macedonia, TD NELT ST, donated computers in 70 primary schools in the country through the action “Computers for the primary school pupils”, thus contributing to the improvement of education of the youngest. The computers are aimed for motivating the pupils to use them as a source for the obligatory and additional knowledge, but also as toys. The action was taking place in March, when five denars of the sales of each Milka chocolate were invested in the ‘computer fund’. Kraft Foods forecasted that 25,000 Euros would be collected for buying computers for 50 schools. However, the citizens showed much bigger interest and additional 20 computers were bought. The schools to which the computers were directly donated, were selected according to their financial situation, the number of schools in the settlement and the geographical location. The advantage was given to schools that have very little or no computers at all, as well as schools with scarce finances.
The additional computers were donated to the schools for children with special need, the schools in the towns that were formerly not covered by the action, as well as the schools with a big number of pupils from the rural areas.
