Better flow of information in the region

The Ecological Press-Centre from Skopje and the Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Eastern Europe promoted the Regional Ecological Press-Centre for South-Eastern Europe, project that has been implemented within the REREP Programme. Mr. Ljubomir Janev and the REC Director from Budapest, Mr. Toni Popovski spoke at the REPC promotion.

The goal of this centre is to improve the information on the environment in the region, thus providing easier approach to information for the journalists and improve their mutual cooperation and cooperation with the experts and institutions from the region.

Apart from distribution of information (through the web site www.repc.net), there will also be counselling, trainings for journalists, and the NGO capacity for better cooperation with the journalists will be strengthened. Local REPC offices are open in Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. The project is financed by the Dutch government.
