How is the budget of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy allocated?
At the competition for supporting projects for sheltering victims of family violence, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy decided to give its support to the Skopje Women Organization, explaining their decision with the fact that the organization had had the highest score in terms of meeting the criteria of the competition. However, the Shelter – Center, a refuge for women and children victims of family violence reacted to the decision claiming they had been unfairly “ignored” when allocating the assets. The Shelter – Shelter had discussed in several occasions why they think they are the only organization in Macedonia that possesses experience, space and human capacities to implement such projects. The Civic World will make efforts to present the opinions and the arguments of all parties involved in the event.
