Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation
Encouraging employment
In 1998, MCIC founded the Macedonian Enterprise Development Foundation - MEDF that marked a great step forward in the efforts for reducing the unemployment, country's development and greater influence in the sector of employment and income generation.
MEDF was a follow-up activity of the Village Development Initiatives Programme and the Employment Encouraging Programme. The Dutch Embassy and the MCIC came to agreement for establishing this Foundation.
The Board of Trustees which manages the MEDF had its constitutional assembly on 28 September and the foundation was registered on 25 November 1998. In the period between 1998-2000, an agreement was reached between the MEDF and the Dutch Embassy for financing the Micro and Small Enterprises Programme, amounting 8,9 Dutch Guldens.
