Nansen Award for Refugees
Laureate - Analena Toneli
The Italian humanitarian worker, Analena Toneli, who dedicated three decades helping the Somalians in the unknown region Rogot in Africa, was awarded this year the Nansen Award for Refugees. The Nansen Committee awarded the sixty-year old Italian for her unselfish dedication in the service of the community in Somalia, most of which are refugees and displaced people who came back home.
The Nansen Award for Refugees is awarded every year to individuals and organizations that distinguished themselves through their work in the service of refugees.
