New brochure on fight against weapons
The municipality of Gjorce Petrov has promoted the brochure “Say “no” to guns”, say “no” to juvenile delinquency, say “yes” for a better and safer municipality” which came as a result from the realization of the project with the same name. The brochure is part of the activities that the municipality has been realizing in cooperation with the NGO “Multiko” for providing safer and more secure municipality. The project is financed by the UNDP office within the “Safe Communities Partnership” project.
The brochure contains information regarding the course of the project, especially its six key activities: filling in questionnaires, organizing lectures in primary and secondary schools, organizing workshops, tribunes and roundtables. It locates the major security problems of the municipality, as well as the alternative solutions for those problems. According to Allain Lapon, “Safe Communities Partnership” project-manager, the plan for safer communities is a strategic priority for building healthier, economically more attractive and livelier community.
