Language and Training Center promoted

On 18 January this year, the University of Ss. Kiril and Metodij in Skopje promoted the University Language and Training Center, established in cooperation with the Greek-American University and the Greek-American Union headquartered in Athens, which are the official representatives of the Michigan University programme that provides certificates for advanced knowledge of the English language.

“This cooperation is an opportunity for providing continuous training and progress of the academic staff, exchange of experiences and knowledge and common work in different fields. The main goal for establishing this center is for it to contribute to improving the quality of the foreign languages learning.”, said Ljubica Suturkova, pro-rector for international cooperation at the University of “Ss. Kiril and Metodij”. She emphasized that the Center will provide educational, scientific and professional services in the field of foreign languages, it will provide university certificates and it will promote and provide scientific and professional high quality services. The Greek Ambassador in Macedonia, Aleksandra Papadopolu, expressed her content from the cooperation between the two countries and said that the future of Macedonia and Greece depends on the young people and that the education is the only way to prepare the youth for the years to come. She added that her country is willing and ready to help Macedonia and will do everything they can

“The University of Ss. Kiril and Metodij” will open several centers that will perform additional activities. Thus, we are trying to meet the needs of those categories of clients that are not full-time students. When it comes to languages, the need for perfecting the command of them quite is popular and I think that this is a real move if we want to meet all such requests”, said the rector of the university in Skopje, Gjorgji Martinovski.
