Promotion of the Local Cultural Heritage

On 13 December 2003 in Krivogastani, a small celebration was held to mark the opening of the memorial-room and to promote the book dedicated to the traditional cultural heritage of this area.

These activities were implemented by the Women Organization "Horizont" from Krivogastani, as part of the project "Cultural Heritage - contribution to the future", which is part of the "Living Heritage" programme. The goal of this programme is encourage the local development with the cultural resources, and in Macedonia it is implemented by the Foundation King Bouduen from Belgium and the Foundation Open Society Institute - Macedonia.

The local population in Krivogastani was widely involved in the project. They reanimated the specific cultural heritage of the region and made it available to everybody through the book and the memorial-room.
