AGRP Programme of the Japanese government

Irreversible assistance for small projects

The ADRP programme of the Japanese government aims to help the civil society organizations or the local municipality organizations by covering the expenses of relatively small projects for which it is difficult to get the necessary assistance from the General Grant Aid Programme. The irreversible financial assistance for financing small projects was introduced for the first time in 1989 by the Japanese government. Its goal is to meet the various socio-economic, developing and humanitarian needs of the developing countries. The right to apply has any civil society organization, local municipality organization, primary and high school, local hospital or state clinics and municipalities. Every project can be financed up to 70,000 Euros. The applicant should offer a specific project that requires new or additional facilities, equipment and/or materials, and which is directly related to the main goal of the applicant’s activities. Generally speaking, the duration of the project should not exceed a year. The required equipment, materials and services should be provided via suppliers, and together with the application, the applicant needs to provide offers from three different suppliers (purchasers) translated in English. For more information go to ZELS web-site: www.zels.org.mk .
