In the organization of OSCE
Youth winter camp held in Mavrovo
Sixty high-school students of different ethnic background had the opportunity to socialize and learn something more about good governing, as well as issues related to economy and environmental protection, in the winter camp organized by OSCE Mission in Macedonia and held in Mavrovo. The activities were initiated by the local civil society organization Youth Educational Forum and financed by the OSCE High Commissioner for Minority Issues.
‘The camp enabled the participants to develop new views on living in multiethnic societies, and will strengthen their capacity to contribute to building sustainable and peaceful modern societies’, said Bernard Segara, Chief of the Trust-building Department in the OSCE Mission in Skopje. The President of the Youth Educational Forum, Bojan Markic said that the camp not only contributed to opening the issues about segregation between young people, but it also gave them the opportunity to actively participate in shaping their future.
