FIOOM and the Dutch Embassy
Promoting the Roma education
The Foundation Open Society Institute – Macedonia and the Dutch Embassy have allocated a new grant for promoting the Roma education in Macedonia. On 11 July this year, the two partners signed the contract for the realization of the project “Equal education opportunities for the Roma pupils”.
The goal of this project is to improve the grades and the percentage of Roma children attending primary school. The grant is to provide extra class support in the learning process for about 3 000 pupils including 250 teachers and 1 000 parents. The amount of the grant is 2 million Euros. The project will be implemented by FIOOM in the next three years.
