UN will get a representative for fight against violence on children
The First Children’s Embassy in the world “Medjashi” at the end of November pointed out to the passed decision of the UN General Assembly on the introduction of the Institution Representative of the Secretary General of the World Organization for Fight against Violence on Children, whose task is to point out all forms of violence on children and ask for their removal. The Representative will have to incite spread of models of good practices and examples, help in co-ordination and communication between the UN organizations, countries, non-governmental organizations and children. The decision has been voted by representatives of 176 member-countries of UN, no country was restrained and only the USA was against. More than 1,000 civil organizations of 134 countries, among which “Medjashi” have signed the petition for establishment of the above-mentioned UN representative.
