International Conference
"Yes" for renewable sources of energy
The governments from several countries in the world that participated at the International Conference for renewable energy that took place recently in Bonn, Germany, obliged themselves to use more the renewable sources of energy, instead of the traditional ones. At the conference, the practical examples of how the use of renewable sources (water, wind, solar energy, etc.) can be an impulse for the development, more than those that cannot be renewed, such as the coal and oil.
The Governments have passed q declaration for replacing the traditional/classical sources of energy with alternative ones. The declaration calls for legal regulations and policies for support of this effort. The Director of the UN Environment Programme, Klaus Topfer, proposed establishing an "Environmental Stability Pact" as a support to the use of renewable sources of energy.
