Health is the greatest fortune. The World Heath Day is dedicated to the protection of this fortune of all people in the world. The World Health organization as well as many other associations, organize various campaigns for prevention and protection from different diseases, among which are the mass epidemics, like AIDS, tummy fly, etc.
8 April: World Roma Day
Roma people from all over the world celebrate their international day, 8 April. Following the activities of the Roma Integration Decade, the focus of marking this day is placed upon the education, human rights, health protection, improving the housing, employment standards and other priorities.
18 April: Respect the monuments
The goal of this day dedicated to the monuments and the historic places is to maintain the tradition and develop a culture for respecting and getting to know the history.
22 April: Let’s protect the planet
The day dedicated to the Planet Earth had been originally marked only in the USA, but in time it has grown into an international date on which concrete actions for natures protection and strengthening the public awareness are taken. The need for joint action for protecting our mutual home is the focus of all activities taken on that day.
23 April: The book and the copyright
The day dedicated to the book and the protection of the authors’ rights is part of the campaign for promoting the book and the culture of reading in today’s electronic society. At the same time, it is day for fighting the “pirating” and the plagiarism and protecting the copyrights.
24 April: Without animal testing
The representatives of animal rights mark the day for protecting the “guinea pigs” by organizing various campaigns, activities, protests, etc.
25 April: Plant a tree!
