Pelister and Radika - this year's priorities

The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning is considering the protection of Radika and Pelister to be its priorities, and they also announced the continuation of the project for protection of Prespa that will cost approximately 705,000 euros from the Global Environmental Fund. In 2003, the Ministry completed the realization of the project for eliminating the consequences from the six-valence chrome in Jegunovce by redirecting the waters from the stream Muzga.

In his public announcement, the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr. Ljubomir Janev informed that they have cleaned two thirds of the moulded metal in the bed of Kamenicka River, but also that the sanation supported by a 100,000 Swiss franks donation from the Swiss Government has also been going on. It is supposed to be terminated by the end of February and will be followed by a process of observation and re-cultivation of the land, supported by a Japanese donation of 100,000 American dollars.
