Laws on waters are late

The European Environmental Bureau (EB) located at the Brussels, Belgium, announced its estimations of the implementation of the EU waters protection policy at the web-site: www.eeb.org. "The Old" Europe "failed" on the laws for water - states the EEB announcement. More precisely, the EU member-states had an obligation to "turn"(incorporate) the Framework directive on EU waters into their national legislations.

However, most of them did not meet the deadline. EEB warns and expresses a criticism at the member-countries, especially at those with more developed economies, to change their legislation and pass the laws for protection of waters.
