ZELS and ADKOM

A memorandum for mutual cooperation signed

The Association of the local government units of the Republic of Macedonia (ZELS) and the Association of service providers of the Republic of Macedonia (ADKOM), signed a memorandum for mutual cooperation on 15 March. It was signed by the ZELS President, Goran Angelov and the ADKOM President, Jordan Milkov.

Signing the memorandum for cooperation was aimed to make these two organizations give their contribution in the actual transfer of competences from central to local level. With this memorandum, ZELS and ADKOM have to synchronize their efforts for lobbying on passing the legal acts important for the local government and the public enterprises, and especially for the work related to improving the communal services on municipality level.

The memorandum foresees that ADKOM representatives get involved in the work of ZELS technical commissions and sub-commissions on communal issues and for preparation of acts and laws for implementation of the Operational Programme for Decentralization of the authorities of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
