Blending of the margins
 

The civic association "Kontrapunkt" started the implementation of the project "Blending the margins", directed towards the decentralization process in culture. This project, supported by the Swiss Agency for Culture includes preparation and publishing of seven publications for seven towns in Macedonia (Tetovo, Gostivar, Veles, Negotino, Bitola, Ohrid and Struga), as a supplement to the magazine "Margina", also prepared by "Kontrapunkt".

Their goal is to present these towns with their authentic characteristics, the diversity of spirit, culture and other values, as well as the economic, social and other dimensions of actual living, in parallel with the historic moments that mark them and the future projections of the local cultural policy.

The goal of the whole project is to create skills and knowledge on local level, to bring the communities closer to each other and contribute to a more successful realization of the process of decentralization and involvement of the local people in it, to inform the Macedonian citizens about the less-known aspect of living in these towns.

The first publication is expected to come out by the end of this year and it will be distributed through the magazine "Margina".
