Urban Regions Day
Eighth of November is celebrated in the world as a day dedicated to the urban regions. It is usually marked with tribunes, lectures and similar manifestations, dedicated to the cities and other urban spaces and the problems they face, but also with demonstrations aiming to raise the awareness and to encourage the solution of problems related to the urban ecology.
21 November
A meeting of Macedonian and Slovenian Entrepreneurs
NEP and Business Cooperation Network - BCN, in cooperation with the Small Economy Development Centre from Slovenia, are organizing a meeting of the Macedonian and Slovenian entrepreneurs that will take place on 21 November this year at the "Continental" Hotel in Skopje. It is supposed to be attended by 50 entrepreneurs from Slovenia. This event is part of the bilateral economic cooperation between Macedonia and Slovenia, and it is financially supported by the Stability Pact, CEI, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia, the Small Economy Development Centre from Ljubljana and NEPA.
21-23 November
Forum of the Civil Society in Macedonia
This year again, the Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation, the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia and the Institute for Sustainable Communities are organizing the NGO Fair - Forum of the Civil Society in Macedonia. This manifestation takes place for the third time, and this year it will be located at the Skopje Fair. It will contain an exhibition part, a forum part, educational and socio-cultural events.
25 November
Against violence on women
The six-month campaign for reducing the violence on women, starts on the 25 November, the International Day for actions against this type of violence, spread mostly in the poor and less developed countries. The campaign gathers many women organizations which organize protests, tribunes or carry out projects for reducing the violence on women and increasing their empowerment, education and raising the public awareness.
27 November
Buy nothing Day
This day was announced a Buy Nothing Day. It started in the USA and some European countries, but it soon spread as a popular action of the "green" movement followers. The idea is to refrain from buying things and to manifest in a symbolic way the efforts for protecting the environment, reducing the waste and pollution from the factories, and finally, the turn from a consumer-oriented society to a society aware of and accountable for the environment, the society which represents the principle of sustainable development.
