At Ramstore in Skopje
Donations for the Special Olympics
The donating action of the Special Olympics – Macedonia, which has been going on for two months at the Shopping Mall “Ramstore” in Skopje, organized an open humanitarian exhibition within the project “Art Street”. The exhibition included works by famous artists and photographers, like Filip Kondovski, Almir, Keti Ristovska, etc., as well as some books.
The action will be going on by the end of March, with an opportunity to continue by the end of 2007. At the open Humanitarian donating corner, the people with special needs exhibit their handiworks (earrings, necklaces, drawings, bracelets, etc) which they make with the help of numerous volunteers and children from several primary schools.
Mini-performances with some famous artists from the opera, the theatre, the music world, etc are organized every Thursday, offering the people with special needs and the other visitors a chance to have fun and to socialize. The citizens are invited to visit the Humanitarian Donating Corner and to donate some money. There is special phone line open for donations – one donates 100 denars with every call.
The Special Olympics have signed a contract for long-term cooperation wit the publishing house “Kultura” – Skopje, which donated over 1 150 books in November and is to donate the same number of books in December.
