A new mission

Mile Stojkovski is traveling to Beijing in his wheelchair

When you really want something, it will come true, says an old wisdom that gave the inspiration to the K15 team for making the video where Tosho, Mile and Cacko play basketball with Mile Stojkoski who is in a wheel chair. Mile Stojkoski himself confirmed the same wisdom once again when he decided to travel from Bitola to Beijing in his wheelchair. In 2004, he went from Prilep and reached Athens at the opening of the Summer Olympics in Greece. His goal then was to raise money for operation abroad after which doctors had promised he would be able to walk.

In April this year, Mile Stojkoski will start his journey to China, where he plans to be at the opening of the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. However, his mission now is more sublime – at the cost of his health, postponing his planned operation – he wants to turn the world attention to the group of people he belongs to.

His mission is supported by the Government and the Humanitarian Organization “Venera” from Prilep, which personally lobbied for the successful realization of the donors’ conference, at which, unfortunately, businesses din not show much interest.

“We now that it depends on us, and not the handicapped, to what extent they will get involved in the social living. All businessmen should consider their decision not to support Stojkoski’s project “Beijing 2008”. It is a shame that we allow a man, who has put his own health at risk and postponed the operation that was to provide it, not to receive any support from the businessmen. We see Mile Stojkoski as a national hero”, says the actor in the video, Bubo Karov.

On his journey, , Stojkoski will promote Macedonia with all its brands, and will try to promote the handicapped and realize the peace mission by planting a tree after passing 100 km. The money from the Fund for Helping the Handicapped will be used for constructing buildings of capital significance for the group. The idea is to build hospitals, settlements and other centers for re-socialization of those individuals.

All the interested can donate for Mile Stojkoski’s mission on the phone numbers 070 / 143-114 and 075 / 143-114, as well as on the gyro account of Komercijalna Banka A.D.
