International Red Cross Day marked
A book Henry Dinan promoted
This year, May the 8th, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, was marked in Macedonia, too, with the promotion of the book “Remembering Solferino” by the founder of the Red Cross, Henry Dinan, and “Makedonski Posti” published a new stamp.
On that day, which was marked in Skopje under the motto “Let us protect our health”, another manifestation took place at the Humanitarian Organizations’ Centre “Dare Dzambaz”. It was attended by eminent politicians, well-known actors, activist, and citizens. The President Branko Crvenkovski congratulated the present and said: “The Red Cross has always been the pillar of all humanitarian activities and has given a remarkable contribution in raising the awareness of all subjects who assume certain role in the world mission”.
