Support to Roma students

This year, the number of Roma students who receive scholarship increased by 50 with support from the Romaversitas Programme of the Open Society Institute – Macedonia Foundation. The Programme is implemented in partnership with USAID and HESP – Budapest (High Education Support Programme).

Another novelty is the mentorship of peers – instead of the so-far practice when Romaversitas fellows had assistants or professors from their faculties as mentors, starting from this year, that role is given to graduated students or to students who are about to graduate. The so-far practice has shown good results regarding the quality of knowledge and understanding the learning material by the fellow-students. Scholarships will be provided for the next year, too.
