Christmas Bazaar of Macedonian Handicraft The best from MacedoniaThe Second Christmas Bazaar of Macedonian Handicraft and creative crafts took place from 14 to 23 December this year at the Cifte Amam in Skopje. It aroused a great interest because it indeed offered the best from Macedonia - the creativity, the skills, the knowledge, the tradition, the art and the rich cultural heritage of its citizens. Sixty individual artisans, studios and organizations presented the riches and the colours of the folk tradition: pottery, weaving, filigree, traditional food, knitting, jewellery, etc. Centre for Contemporary Arts How to protect the old urban nucleusesOn 19 December 2003, the Centre for Contemporary Arts from Skopje, assuming the role of coordinator of the Old Skopje Bazaar Forum activities, and the initiative of the Sub-committee of the Historic Villages and Towns of the Macedonian National Committee of IKOMOS, organized a public tribune. In Krivogastani Promotion of the Local Cultural HeritageOn 13 December 2003 in Krivogastani, a small celebration was held to mark the opening of the memorial-room and to promote the book dedicated to the traditional cultural heritage of this area.
