Christmas Bazaar of Macedonian Handicraft
The best from Macedonia
The Second Christmas Bazaar of Macedonian Handicraft and creative crafts took place from 14 to 23 December this year at the Cifte Amam in Skopje. It aroused a great interest because it indeed offered the best from Macedonia - the creativity, the skills, the knowledge, the tradition, the art and the rich cultural heritage of its citizens. Sixty individual artisans, studios and organizations presented the riches and the colours of the folk tradition: pottery, weaving, filigree, traditional food, knitting, jewellery, etc.
This exceptional event was presented by the American organization "Aid to Artisans" which has been implementing a three-year project for supporting the artisans, financed by the USAID. "Aid to Artisans" has organized the Bazaar in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Economy, the Macedonian Association of Craftsmen and the Art Gallery "Skopje". Now, it is only up to the Macedonian artisans to enable us to further watch and buy their products even more.
