UMWO Preparation for the local elections 2004On 26 July this year, the Union of Macedonian Women Organizations (UMWO) and its members, organized seminars in Probistip and Veles as a preparation for the local elections in 2004. WO "Theresa" - Resen and KEGME - Athens Training for EcoagrotourismTwenty-two women from the region of Prespa were given training in the field of ecoagrotourism for development of the tourism and enterprises. The project's goal was to strengthen the socio-economic position of women in the rural areas, so that they can give their contribution in the development of the community in their country in the field of tourism, to promote the good-neighbour relations and cooperation in the tourism and become more familiar with the cultural and ecological richness of this region. This project was realized by the women organization from Resen called "Theresa", which is a member of the UMWO, in cooperation with the Mediterranean Women Centre KEGME from Athens and support from the Resen Municipality.
