Buy nothing day 

The world day for refraining from shopping or “Buy nothing day”, aims to present an action for reducing the waste and environmental pollution in a symbolic way. On this day people should not buy anything, which is packed in a non-recycling material, or by refraining from shopping they could make a virtual protection from the pollution caused by the factories in the process of production. The action is purely symbolic and it aims to raise the public awareness.
