Interethnic relations – imperative for work
The youth from different communities will get to know each other The Balkan association, the Union of the Albanian woman - branch Bitola and the Croatian-Macedonian association for friendship and cooperation started implementing the multiethnic project “Colours of the rainbow” these days, which originates from the aspiration of more civil organizations towards improving and stabilizing the interethnic relations in Bitola, especially after 2001.
Workshops will be organized within the project that will be realized through five seminars with young people from Bitola at the age of 14 to 15 from all nationalities that live in the town. The topics at the seminars mostly cover the cultural characteristics, tradition, religion, communication and solving conflict situations, and experts from different areas will teach on the seminars: pedagogues, etnologists and activists from the civic sector. The first foreseen topic is with general character and covers the Macedonian culture.
The project is financed by the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia (FOSIM), within the programme for improving the interethnic relations in the country.
