Join the "March Against Weapons"

Coordinating Body for implementation of the Law on voluntary surrender and collecting of arms, ammunition and explosive devices and legalization of weapons organizes "March against weapons" in Skopje, October 31, 2003.

The start of the March is scheduled to take place at the "Macedonia" square at 3 pm. Then the march would move over the Stone Bridge, and move towards Bit-Pazar, Court Palace (Sudska palata), the Red Cross building and the Assembly, and end at "Macedonia" square.

Numerous civic organizations; deans, professors, and students from Skopje University; members of the Parliament; diplomats; representatives of foreign civilian and military missions; and citizens announced their participation in the march.

The goal of the March is to stimulate the citizens of Macedonia to support the action for gathering of illegal weapons and all activities for realization of the National Program for improving general security of all citizens in Macedonia.

Join the March, to express the interest and humanity of the action and become a part of the action for voluntary surrender of illegal weapons and general security of the country.

The Coordinative Body invites the civic organization interested and willing to be included in the monitoring of the weapons hand-over, and send their representatives at the collection points, to send a list of prospective members directly to the Coordinative Body, or to the contact person for the civic sector at sozm@mt.net.mk  or the fax number 02/3238-184.

Coordinative Body will perform the accreditation of the list of monitors.
