Coordination and Cooperation Between the Southeastern European Partners
In coThe first meeting of the partners in the capacities building network, in organization of the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC) took place from 18 to 21 April 2002 in Ohrid. The capacities building network is one of the three networks, organized by the World Council of Churches, within the South-Eastern European Ecumenical Partnership program (SEEEP). Other networks have been established as well: Peace and Reconciliation and Returning and Repatriation of Refugees. The aim of this program is to strengthen the coordination and cooperation between South-Eastern European partners and closer connection of the activities for basic help, reconciliation and development.
At the meeting they discussed about the possibilities and kinds of cooperation between partners organizations in the direction of strengthening the Ecumenical organizations capacities in the South-Eastern Europe. It was suggested that the further cooperation is realized through organizing well-planned trainings, exchange visits, exchange of experience, information and materials in the field of project cycle, lobbying, entrepreneurship, and trainers’ training. The structure and mechanisms of the future cooperation have been also established and a year’s action plan has been developed. Many organizations took place at the first meeting: representatives from Diaconija Agape and the Albanian Civic Society Foundation from Albania; the Pokrov Foundation and the Women Development Alliance from Bulgaria; AIDROM and Possibilities from Romania; The Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization, Philanthropy, Civic Initiatives and We Are with You from Yugoslavia, EOS and NIT form Croatia and the MCIC from Macedonia.
