EAR and FOSIM

New NGO supporting centres

Within the project for strengthening the NGOs, that has been implemented by the Foundation Open Society Institute Macedonia, 8 new NGO supporting centres will be open in the socially and economically undeveloped regions in Macedonia.
This project is financed by the European Agency for Reconstruction - EAR and FOSIM and it will last until May 2005.

The goals of this project are to support and develop the civic associations' capacities, to improve their cooperation with the local government, to recognize the role of civic associations as monitors of the quality of governing and distribution of public services, to support the development of their skills (especially for lobbying and advocating) and to encourage them to take various activities for accomplishing a sustainable development and creating NGO networks.

These eight centres will provide infrastructure, equipment and logic support to the civic organizations in the implementation of their activities.
