Sveti Nikole For women’s better health The women organization from the municipality of Sveti Nikole, within the project “Improving Women’s Position”, financed by the Swedish foundation “Kvina til kvinna” in October got involved in the international campaign for fight against breast cancer. The members of the group of women having malignant diseases had made pink ribbons and they were given to women in the municipality. Together with the ribbons, women were also given brochures about fight against breast cancer. On the occasion of 20 October, World Osteoporosis Day, on 27 October a tribune was held under the title “Osteoporosis within women” with a presentation by D-r Snezana Markovic – Temelkovska, president of the Macedonian Osteoporosis Association. The present 60 women got familiar with the dangers of this disease, the way of early diagnosis and protection and treatment. Apart from the lecture, a medical examination was organized for 42 women for diagnosing osteoporosis.   K.B.
